BECOMING AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

For me, providing allied health services means supporting individuals holistically throughout their health and exercise journey, ensuring they have access to advanced, evidence based practices as well as education in independently managing their health and lifestyle choices.

I have been involved with a number of rehabilitation clinics in Australia and have worked under highly specialised exercise physiologists, particularly oncological and cardiac specialists. As a dual British Australian Citizen I am currently working privately in West London. I have a particular interest in women's health, recently consulted for fitness sensation Kayla Itsines on her own Pregnancy and Post-Partum program for the app SWEAT.

My other passions include working with older adults to maintain independence and reduce their risk of falls, as well as pain management or musculoskeletal rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease and exercise programs during and after Cancer treatment.

Having competed in both triathlon and cycling at a national level, Sports Science is also an area I am incredibly passionate about. As an athlete and exercise sports scientist, the areas of sports performance, strength and conditioning and rehabilitation appealed to my competitive side, with a focus on providing individuals with the optimum conditions for success. I have been involved with sports performance, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning across a variety of sub-elite and elite sports including netball, football, swimming, cycling and triathlon. In London I have continued to work in the area of exercise and sports science with a focus on improving sports specific biomechanics, reducing injury risk and enhancing athletes structural stability.
